Meditative Yoga for Physical & Mental Agility 
Ongoing Class Tuesday Afternoons, 3:30 to 4:45 pm
Bodysattva Healing Arts Center

DescriptionThis class includes several 10 to 15 minute periods of meditation and yoga breathing practices tailored to connect you with "your happy place" and to teach you how to stay there more and more. Gentle and restorative yoga exercises are interspersed to bring vitality and to honor the body's need for movement. This class joyfully strengthens and transforms your brain, nervous system and muscles and uplifts your spirit improving the health of all of these parts of you. The only prerequisite is that you are able to move from floor to standing and vice versa.

Muses IV
An Event for Soul Expression

(CVUUF) Conejo Valley Unified Universalist Fellowship 

The intention of Muses is to offer people an opportunity to share expression though their creative works in a non competitive environment that honors the universal human need to gather to share our collective voices. Our Muses events continue to provide an inspiring and uplifting venue for performances of storytelling, poetry, movement art, memoirs, magic, and music. Come Early. Our next Muses will offer opportunities for those who are published or who have media for sale to offer these after the event when we will gather for simple snacks and to connect. There are a limited number of spots for open microphone. FEE. Your donations to CVUUF are appreciated and help support the space. 

Power of Word Community Circle & Workshop

DESCRIPTION. The intention of this gathering is to uncover and share the stories our souls speak to mind and body. These insights are the inspirations for our life visions and prayers. We live from these ideas and believes, and through listening and opening to new ways to be with them, we are compassionately empowered to change and expand these stories and believes to better serve our highest aspirations. When we move in the world from this place, we are uplifted and change our world. FEE. $25, This event is a fundraiser for Unity of the Oaks church..

Includes guided visualization, writing activity, group discussion and sharing in a warm community environment, and an introduction to other Pathways to Peace Soul Body Health offerings.

Meditations for the ongoing meditative yoga class and in other events incorporate techniques from several schools with those of Rick Hanson's Foundations of Well-Being program still available online for those who wish to register. Rick's program teaches techniques that are scientifically proven to change the brain and nervous system to improve mental health.

More spiritual meditative practices are sometime also included for those who want these techniques for greater connection including those from Unity tradition and from SRF yoga tradition.
